Five women founded FIE NGO to grant credit to low-income people without access to a conventional financial system.
1986
FIE NGO grants the first credit to the Ayo Ayo peasant union.
1998
FIE NGO seeks shareholders and forms the Private Financial Fund FIE S.A. as a regulated entity and captures resources from the public to improve the conditions of access to credit.
2000
FIE NGO crosses the borders into Argentina and creates FIE Gran Poder S.A. with a credit offer focused on Bolivian migrants. Being formally transferred in 2020.
2008
FIE NGO creates the microfinance investment company in Spain CONFIE SL with the purpose of strengthening socially responsible microfinance institutions that contribute to the development of micro and small businesses, moving to Bolivia in 2022, after several years of successful work in Spain.
2010
The Private Financial Fund FIE S.A. it is transformed into Banco FIE S.A., the phase of geographic expansion is deepened, and a wide range of financial services is offered in urban and rural areas.
2018
FIE NGO is strengthened as an institution and updates its purpose, oriented towards training and technical assistance to producers and entrepreneurs, strengthening its social function, under a human and economic development approach.
The technical assistance project "El Buen Productor" began, dedicated to oilseed producers and livestock farmers.
